About the Role

Under limited supervision, perform the job safely, cost-effectively, and client-focused in a team environment. Use good judgment and initiative in accurately managing day-to-day transactions, including receiving, storing, issuing, and accounting for a variety of materials, supplies, and equipment. Maintain positive and effective communications. Utilize computerized warehouse management systems and tools. Work with planners and buyers to ensure material availability and may be responsible for procuring and expediting material. Conduct operations consistent with SRP rules, regulations, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote an environment of stewardship towards SRP inventory and assets.
• Receive, store, and issue material, supplies, and equipment, completing all associated documentation.
• Initiate purchase requests, including open order requisitions, or write emergency pickup orders for special items as needed.
• Safely and competently operate all equipment associated with material handling.
• Utilize computerized warehouse management systems and tools for planning, assigning, tracking, and reporting work activities.
• Receive, examine, and recondition salvage material, preparing documents for processing.
• Interface with Supply Chain partners and vendors to meet client material reservations.
• Follow up on communications and resolve issues with clients regarding material reservations.
• Work within a team to meet material needs; may lead team members to facilitate completion of various projects.
• Safely handle/process hazardous waste and other regulated substances according to state and federal standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work safely and efficiently, maintaining effective working relationships with employees, customers, and the public.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions, completing applicable paperwork accurately and legibly.
• May be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime.

Requirements

• Experience as a Utilityman in Supply Chain/Water Delivery, Tradeshelper in Water Delivery/Line, or equivalent experience.
• Subject to out-of-town work, call-outs, and changing shifts.

Testing and Certifications

• Physical Agility Test (for specific list of training certifications, contact the departmental manager).
