About the role
As a Machine Loader at Lactalis US Yogurt in Londonderry, NH, you will maintain box-forming areas, inspect materials for quality, and assist with production line fillers by replenishing packaging materials such as cups and lids. You will collaborate with Machine Operators and Material Handling teams to align duties with company goals and values.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all aspects of food safety and quality as defined in plant and department procedures.
- Maintain production filler with the appropriate level of cardboard.
- Load cups and lids on production filler lines 41 and line 61.
- Inspect cardboard for imperfections (e.g., misshapen or torn material) to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Communicate with Material Handling when materials or glue are needed.
- Maintain glue pots to prevent depletion during production.
- Follow Work Instructions and GMP procedures at all times.
- Maintain a sanitary and organized box-forming area across all lines.
- Coordinate with line operators to plan changeovers in advance.
- Retract poor-quality materials by completing a "materials reject form" and notifying supervision.
- Support line operators by maintaining production lines with cups and lids during filling operations.
- Keep an appropriate stock of cases of cups, lids, and over-wrapper materials ready for line operation.
- Actively seek ways to improve and promote quality.
- Support line breaks and vacations as needed.
- Prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment.
- Computer literacy.
- English proficiency (reading and writing).

Schedule
12-hour shifts with alternating weekly hours:
- Week 1: 48 hours (Sat, Sun, Wed, Thu – 6:30 am to 6:30 pm)
- Week 2: 36 hours (Mon, Tue, Fri – 6:30 am to 6:30 pm)
Alternative schedules may include:
- Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
- Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
- Monday to Friday, 11:00 pm – 7:30 am
Extended hours may be required based on project needs.
Work Conditions
- Operates in a manufacturing environment with moderate to excessive noise and distractions.
- Requires interaction with others and occasional use of standard office equipment (e.g., computers, phones).
- Production areas may be cold, wet, slippery, obstructed, or loud, requiring safety attire or protective gear.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, sit, lift, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands/fingers to operate machinery.
- Must move around within a production environment and stand/walk for prolonged periods.
- Must communicate verbally to convey information.
- Ability to work in, on, around, over, and under fixed equipment and machinery.
- Work in adverse temperature conditions while wearing personnel protective equipment.
