About the role
The Tiffany Workshop in Pelham, NY is known for its fine jewelry and illustrious collections, embodying distinctive craftsmanship, quality, timeless beauty, and expressions of joy. The High Jewelry Jeweler is responsible for fabricating high-end jewelry pieces in gold and platinum, adhering to the Tiffany and Company aesthetic and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the physical construction of new and repeatable High Jewelry products according to project delivery timelines.
- Responsible for cast cleaning, assembly, and repair of platinum + gold jewelry of all levels of complexity with all types of diamonds and precious stones.
- Able to follow directions from peer coaches and management.
- Ensure all diamonds and precious stones are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Focus on improving overall efficiency by adhering to Tiffany and Company prescribed routing steps and within standard times for completion of jewelry pieces and key projects.
- Communicate effectively to keep Manager updated on project status, issues, and concerns.
- Identify potential barriers to meeting completion timelines as soon as they arise.
- Perform other duties as required by the business.
- Verify the accuracy of the work orders in terms of location, CODC if applicable, and high value components.
- Immediately notify manager of any discrepancies.
- Comply with security operating procedures.
- Put away all materials and work orders before exiting the facility.
Qualifications
- Bench experience in high-end jewelry manufacturing.
- Knowledge of complex and intricate jewelry construction and polishing as well as precious metal properties.
- Organizational, interpersonal skills, and partnership skills.
- Ability to communicate issues clearly in a team environment; ability to effectively interact with clients and multiple staff levels.
- Ability to work overtime to support business needs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications include Accredited Jewelry certification, experience/knowledge in jewelry and polishing processes.
Pay
The hiring range for this position ranges from $35.00 - $46.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
