Key Responsibilities

• Perform general grounds maintenance duties: remove leaves, mow grass, sweep campus driveways and streets, pick up paper and trash, remove dead trees and limbs, trim trees and shrubs, spray for insects and disease, fertilize plants, plant trees and shrubs, sow grass, lay sod
• Perform hand grading, excavating and shovel work.
• Remove snow from streets and sidewalks.
• May perform trash pickup of campus area, hauling to and unloading at dump and perform necessary minor maintenance of truck and equipment.
• May assist workers of a higher level in performing specialized assignments.
• Operate truck, tractor, lawn mower, chain saw, and various tools used in groundskeeping, trash pickup and other miscellaneous duties.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

High School graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience, from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities can be acquired, is necessary.

Pay

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $16.50 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.

Schedule

Shift 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday
