Temporary Grounds Crew Member

About the Role

CU Boulder Athletics is seeking a temporary grounds crew member to assist with all grounds-related work. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, the ability to take direction, and a background in ground maintenance. This role involves physical labor and supports the day-to-day turf management operations of all athletic facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenance.
• Support field painting and event setups for practices, competitions, and special events.
• Perform snow and ice mitigation.
• Clean campus grounds.
• Work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime for events such as football games, athletic events, and concerts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability and willingness to work significant and irregular hours, including all home football games, concerts, and other athletic or special events.
• Experience operating turf management equipment.
• Understanding of athletic field management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) in turf management or a similar field.
• A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance of athletic fields at the collegiate level or higher.

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Schedule

This is a temporary, full-time position (40 hours per week) with potential for overtime. Weekends and holidays may be required.
