Temporary Grounds Assistant - FRS

About the role

The University of Georgia is seeking a Temporary Grounds Assistant to join the Griffin Campus team. This position will assist the Field Research Services grounds crew with maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Mowing grass – 50%
• Maintenance of flower beds and performing other duties assigned by supervisor related to maintaining the grounds – 20%
• Weed eating and edging around plants and walkways – 15%
• Planting of shrubs and flowers around the campus – 15%

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Knowledge of landscaping practices and equipment

Qualifications

• Physical demands: Work primarily outside, may be performed in adverse temperatures during summer and winter months
