About the role
The Program Instructor will work with individuals who have a developmental disability to offer a range of services and supports.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized service plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct support to individuals in various settings including home, community, and workplace
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct regular assessments and document progress towards goals
- Adapt services to meet the evolving needs of individuals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- At least two years of experience working with individuals who have a developmental disability
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional evenings and weekends
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities and best practices in support services
- Experience with data management and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
