The TRUST Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi-academy Trust established in 2017. It comprises three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School, The Charles Dickens School, and Barton Manor Free School. Barton Manor School is a non-selective 11-18 school located in Canterbury, five minutes from Barton Court Grammar School.

About the role

Barton Manor School is seeking to appoint a part-time Temporary Food Technology Technician to support the Food Department. The position aims to enhance student progress in Food and Nutrition, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieving their full potential, thereby raising standards of achievement, attendance, and behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Food Department to enhance student progress in Food and Nutrition
  • Work with secondary school students to help them overcome barriers to learning
  • Enable students to achieve their full potential

Requirements

  • A good standard of Education (Level 3)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with secondary school students is desirable
