About the role
This position is a temporary flight instructor role within the Department of Aviation and Emergency Management at Elizabeth City State University.
Responsibilities
- Teach aviation subjects in both classroom and flight settings
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations
- Provide instruction based on appropriate instructional techniques
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced and noisy environment
- Exercise sound judgment at all times
- Must possess a current FAA Medical Certificate
Requirements
- Possess aircraft piloting skills including familiarity with and ability to perform required flight maneuvers and procedures
- Possess knowledge and ability to apply effective instructional techniques in the classroom and in flight
- Possess knowledge of appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations, University Academic, administrative and operational procedures and requirements
- Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument CFI, CFII, MEI, Airplane Single and Multiengine, Instrument Airplane certifications are preferred
