Temporary Fire Watch

Temporary part-time position at the Idabel Lumber mill, with weekend work up to 30 hours per week as needed.

About the role

We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all hot work activities as Fire Watch.
• Sign off on hot work permits per FM Global requirements.
• Maintain a personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform essential job functions such as climbing stairs and ladders, navigating catwalks, and working at all heights and locations in a manufacturing environment.
• Work in extreme temperatures (heat and cold) throughout the plant for the assigned shift.
• Operate and be knowledgeable of firefighting equipment (fire extinguishers, hoses, etc.).

Requirements

• High school education or GED.
• Willingness and ability to work weekends as operating conditions require.
• Basic computer experience.
• Successful completion of post-offer background check, physical, and drug screen.
• This position is designated as safety-sensitive; pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites is required. A positive test result may disqualify you from employment, even with a valid Oklahoma medical marijuana license.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Schedule

Weekend work up to 30 hours per week as needed.
