Temporary Faculty School of Accountancy
About the Role
The School of Accountancy at Georgia Southern University is seeking applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions for the 2026–2027 academic year to teach LSTD 2106, Legal Environment of Business. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis and will be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teach LSTD 2106 Legal Environment of Business
- Exhibit engaging customer service
- Teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online)
Qualifications
- Earned JD in law
- Evidence of the potential for above-average teaching ability
- Evidence of effective communication skills

- Related professional experience
Department Information
The School of Accountancy, fully accredited by AACSB International, provides excellence in accounting education through teaching, research, and service. It offers a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Accounting degree in traditional and online formats, enrolling over 600 students and employing 18 full-time faculty members in accounting and legal studies.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to support various constituencies served by the University
- Proven proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required
- Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational, and human relations skills
Conditions of Employment
Work must be completed in Georgia, with limited exceptions. Faculty are expected to engage in campus activities and may teach or perform duties on any of the three campuses. Offers are contingent on background checks, credential confirmation, and compliance with university policies.
