Temporary Employment Register
This register is designed to capture expressions of interest for shorter-term and/or temporary employment opportunities at the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). While applicants may be considered, employment is not guaranteed. If a vacancy arises, the OAIC may contact you to discuss it further.

Positions available through this register vary in duration but can be engaged for periods up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Roles span a range of transferable skill areas, including:

- Enquiries / call centre
- Assessments / audits / stakeholder engagement

- Enabling services (information technology, people and culture, office management, finance, executive assistance, governance, security)
Assessment and requirements
Decisions to engage applicants are based on merit, assessed against the specific requirements of the role. Assessment methods may include:
- Submission of a CV and/or written application
- Addressing specific job requirements or making a written or video ‘pitch’
- Interviews (face-to-face or via platforms like MS Teams)
- Written or verbal testing, including psychological or aptitude assessments
