About the role
As our Temporary Event DJ, you’ll be the energy architect of our BGCB pop-up clubs. You’ll read the crowd, set the tone, and keep a vibrant, lively event. Your mixes will shape the mood, your timing will drive the flow, and your presence will make the event truly memorable.
Responsibilities
- Curate and mix music playlists tailored to the event’s theme, audience, and energy level.
- Operate DJ equipment (turntables, controllers, mixers, software) to deliver seamless transitions and engaging sets.
- Read the crowd and adjust music selection in real time to maintain energy and engagement.
- Coordinate with event organizers, MCs, and other vendors to ensure smooth flow of the program.
- Set up and break down DJ equipment, ensuring all gear is handled safely and professionally.
- Make occasional announcements or introductions when required.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a DJ for live events, with a portfolio, playlist samples, or recorded sets to share.
- Proficiency with DJ software (e.g., Serato, Rekordbox, Traktor) and hardware (controllers, mixers, turntables).
- Strong ability to read and adapt to diverse audiences and event types.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to transport and set up your own equipment.
Pay
$40/hour – $60/hour, commensurate with experience.
