Temporary Customer Service Professional I
Temporary remote opportunity available to candidates in WA, ID, OR, and UT. This position has the potential to become a Cambia Full-Time position (FTE), but this is not a commitment or guarantee of full-time employment.
About the role
As a Customer Service Professional (CSP) at Cambia, you’ll act as the bridge between Cambia and those we serve, including members, providers, and other health care professionals. You’ll connect directly with providers or current and potential subscribers to our Regence, Asuris, and Bridgespan health insurance plans, answering incoming calls on recorded lines and providing guidance on benefits, claims, and eligibility. This role is remote and non-benefited.
Pay
Starting pay range: $19.00 - $22.25/hour, depending on experience and location.
Schedule
Upcoming start dates include September 28th, 2026. Your start date will be assigned based on class availability and the date of your application. You may be required to work overtime or outside normal hours.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a guide and advocate for callers, addressing questions about benefits, claims, and eligibility.
- Conduct research to find answers when information is not immediately available.
- Provide accurate, compliant, and professional information tailored to each caller’s unique needs.
- Proactively identify and address potentially difficult issues before they escalate.
- Prioritize caller satisfaction while representing Cambia’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with team members and seek feedback to improve skills and capabilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of customer service call center experience or 6 months of customer service experience in insurance, retail, banking, hospital, medical office, or a similar industry with extensive customer contact or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient PC skills and ability to navigate multiple applications while on calls.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and calculations.
- High-speed internet connection (minimum upload speed of 5Mb and download speed of 10Mb).
- Private, distraction-free workspace.
- Access to a personal mobile device for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup.
