About the role

The Hill is seeking a Temporary Manager of Client Engagement to handle project management and event logistics for its growing events portfolio. This position will report to the Director, Client Engagement and collaborate with a dynamic, dedicated team of events, sales, and marketing professionals to execute a variety of in-person and virtual thought leadership events.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as point of contact and project manager for a select portion of our live events portfolio
  • Develop and manage event operations, timelines, and deliverables, communicating internally and externally with white-glove service
  • Take ownership of all facets of bringing an event to life, including establishing processes that create a smooth client journey
  • Handle all event logistics, from RFPs to contracting venues to vendors for rentals, catering, security, and other aspects of production
  • Coordinate internal meetings for events with a larger internal stakeholder group, as well as send calendar holds for the team and executives for events
  • Traffic creative with internal teams, clients, and venues for on-site event materials and supplies, such as signage, backdrops, and sponsor materials
  • Manage on-site setup and production on the day of the event, from sponsor needs to vendor logistics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and experience creating client-facing materials
  • Strong understanding of Washington, DC, political/advocacy landscape and relationship management

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have 3+ years’ experience with event management, public relations, advocacy, communications, and/or marketing.

Pay

Compensation range: $35 - $40 per hour, based upon experience.
