About the role

This temporary position assists the Broadcast Engineer in determining technical aspects of the WolfBytes broadcast environment, consults with clients to define video and audio requirements, and delivers finished products. The role involves running a complete field broadcast from stage setup through execution and breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Broadcast Engineer with technical aspects of the broadcast environment.
• Consult with clients to determine video and audio requirements and implement them.
• Run complete field broadcasts from stage setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Assist in training staff and students on broadcast production equipment.
• Willingness to “get into the weeds” to learn and troubleshoot equipment in a broadcast environment.

Requirements

• Prefer basic broadcast experience.
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License required.

Skills

• Basic broadcast switching experience.
• Knowledge of broadcast and livestream environment.
• Comfort working with a small team in an educational environment.
• Preferred: Experience with vMix or similar production switchers.
• Preferred: Understanding of Dante audio interface.
• Preferred: Experience with audio routing and mixer operation.
• Preferred: Understanding of NDI/SRT or other IP video workflows.
• Preferred: Final Cut Pro experience (a plus, not required).

Pay

Anticipated hiring range: $23 – $25 per hour.
