Responsibilities

  • Accepting and processing hunter-harvested deer and elk heads
  • Collecting data and samples for CWD testing
  • Driving relay routes to transport deer and elk to research sites
  • Removing tissue samples from deer and elk for CWD testing
  • Performing mandatory inspections of hunter-harvested animals
  • Maintaining, sanitizing, and handling equipment safely
  • Cleaning coolers and work stations

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Positive interaction with the public
  • Weekend and evening work may be required
  • Hunting and fishing experience helpful

Basic qualifications include a valid driver’s license and ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. Applicants must be able to interact positively with the public and be willing and able to work 40 hours per week.

Skills
