Temporary Audio Technician (Brookings, OR)
About the role
The Audiology Technician at Starkey Retail provides support within a clinic/office to help licensed audiologists/hearing aid specialists. Key responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating testing with patients, cleaning/adjusting hearing aids, and supporting the provider with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient management software, track orders/sales, and create daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Answer and direct calls in a timely, professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm full audiometric evaluations and other appointments.
- Support the provider by performing customer service, sales, marketing, operational, and administrative functions.
- Assist the licensed professional with counseling and cleaning of hearing instruments as applicable.
- Monitor and facilitate hearing testing in compliance with state laws and regulations.
- Maintain day-to-day operational procedures.
- Report information to Regional Support Specialist for insurance billing.
- Follow up on TNS and MED Referrals.
- Send thank you cards for referral and sales.
- Make deposits (transportation required) and maintain cashbox.
Requirements
- Highschool or GED required
- At least 3 years of customer service/patient care experience and/or one year of office management
- Ability to develop knowledge of software systems including Excel, Word, and Sycle.net
- Good problem solving, analytical abilities, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to manage all confidential information with complete discretion

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements

Pay
The annual hourly rate for this position is between $18.51 - $24.15 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include: geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Schedule
Hours vary based on clinic schedule and may include evenings and weekends.
