Responsibilities
- Perform basic and complex assembly functions following standards and specifications.
- Assist in wiring development, assembly methods, and wire list creation.
- Use hand and power tools for fitting, trimming, and aligning components.
- Interpret wiring lists, drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
- Perform rework on test failures and operate automated equipment as needed.
- May train lower-level assemblers and assist in developing assembly procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma with 1+ years of production/assembly experience or related Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
- Proficiency in reading work instructions, drawings, and procedures.
- Preferred: Experience with sub-assembly using hand and power tools.
- Ability to inspect and identify defects during assembly.
- Knowledge of IPC standards like IPC-610, IPC-J-STD, IPC-620.
- Experience testing printed wiring boards per test procedures.
