About the role
The FIU After-School All Stars is seeking professionals to join their team for afterschool enrichment and development programs.
Responsibilities
- Instruct and tutor students in academic activities (e.g., ELA/ELL, Math, Science).
- Facilitate health/wellness, cultural, and workforce development activities (e.g., Fitness, Culinary Arts, Drama, Coding, Certifications).
- Lead all activities and report progress and attendance to the Site Coordinator on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline.
- Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45 hours Child Care Facility Training (required for positions working with children).
- Florida Child Care Staff Credentialing Certificate (must be obtained within 60 days).
- CPR/Standard First Aid Certification (must be obtained within 30 days).
- Criminal Background Check and Fingerprinting Check (pre-employment requirements).
Schedule
August - May, 2 PM - 6 PM (temporary position).
Pay
Advertised salary: $2000 - $4500.

- Eligible to enroll in health care benefits if working an average of 30 hours or more per week (under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act).
