About the role
The Fayetteville State University Department of Police and Public Safety is responsible for maintaining a safe learning and working environment. The accreditation manager performs complex administrative, analytical, and professional assistance work to ensure the Fayetteville State University Police Department is compliant with the North Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (NCLEA).
Responsibilities
- Prepare statistical analysis, strategic plans and comprehensive compliance reports.
- Regularly report to the accreditation manager on accreditation compliance.
- Assist with the development of policies and procedures.
- Research, draft and update departmental policies/procedures to align with accrediting body standards, judicial rulings, and legislative mandates.
- Maintain a standard format for reviewing policies and revising regularly.
- Collect, organize and submit proofs of compliance.
- Assist with on-site inspections of compliance.
- Prepare the agency for on-site/initial assessment, mock audits and assessor interviews.
- Train staff in maintaining all files for compliance with the accreditation process.
- Conduct employee orientation training regarding the accreditation process.
- Educate department personnel on new or modified policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Work/Excel and Data collection.
Qualifications
- Ability to plan, direct, and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner.
- Organize own work, set priorities, meet critical timelines, and make decisions independently.
- Use a computer and required specialized software for extended periods of time to perform the essential functions of the position.
