About the Role
The Assistant Manager is a full-time salaried or full-time hourly employee responsible for the operation and supervision of a theatre and all employees, with a focus on training and operations. This role represents Regal and acts as a company representative in alignment with our mission statement and policies. The primary responsibility is to provide exceptional products with fast and friendly service in a clean environment, ensuring the satisfaction of every guest.
Must be of legal age to serve/sell alcohol according to all state and local laws, complete all applicable training, obtain required permits and licenses, and successfully pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Understanding of controlling food costs and how demand for individual food items may impact costs.
- Operating, preparing, and cleaning all food preparation equipment, prep stations, and general kitchen areas.
- Ensuring proper inventory rotation through the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation laws (e.g., holding temperatures, storage, sanitizing).
- Preparation of all alcoholic beverages as per company directions.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all laws and legal obligations regarding the serving of alcohol.
- Upholding and administering all theatre policies.
- Training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees.
- Performing all staff positions as required.
- Operating all projection and audio-visual equipment within the theatre, including film handling (threading, building-up, tearing down) and maintenance, except where precluded by labor contracts.
