Assistant Manager
About the role
The Assistant Restaurant Manager has the overall responsibility for controlling day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team. Ensuring compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures is also part of the role. Maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions are key responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with all Human Resources practices and applicable labor laws is essential.
Building sales to meet and exceed store plans by utilizing Local Store Marketing strategies along with community involvement in a self-directed manner is another critical aspect of the role. Ensuring company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program is also important.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling labor and ordering food and supplies
- Developing the restaurant team
- Fulfilling OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security procedures
- Maintaining inventory and managing labor
- Reviewing financial reports and taking appropriate actions
- Ensuring compliance with Human Resources practices and labor laws
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members
- Conducting performance appraisals, counseling, motivating, and training the entire team, including developing Assistant Managers
- Utilizing Local Store Marketing strategies and community involvement to build sales and meet store plans
- Maintaining company standards on equipment, facilities, and grounds through a preventative maintenance program
Requirements
- Minimum of six months Popeyes managerial experience or one year of General Manager experience with another concept or recommendation from an Area Manager
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- The ability to calculate and analyze data
- Display effective leadership skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels
- Interpret Profit and Loss Statements
- Computer literacy
