As a remote team member, you will maintain high levels of precision and confidentiality while working independently to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update employee data within Paycom, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and benefit deductions.
  • Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as labor laws (FLSA, etc.).
  • Perform regular audits of payroll data, timecards, and Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate and analyze custom payroll, tax, and labor reports for management using Paycom’s reporting tools.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, tax withholdings, and Paycom system navigation.

  • Advanced proficiency in Paycom is strongly requested; experience with its HRIS, Time and Attendance, and Tax Management modules is essential.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and a solid understanding of multi-state payroll regulations.
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment, utilizing digital collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams) to stay connected.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle sensitive financial information with total discretion.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
