Responsibilities
- Provide swimming instruction at various skill levels following and adhering to the City of Spokane ASI program.
- Provide proper supervision.
- Communicate with parents or guardians of class participants.
- Assist with routine pool maintenance and custodial duties.
- Additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years of age at time of appointment.
- Possess a valid government issued ID and Social Security Card.
- Required to submit to background check.
Qualifications
- Desired skills include: Excellent communication skills, decision-making skills, thorough knowledge and application of teaching styles in coordination with ARC Standards, and an understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures.
- MUST receive a certification in Swim Instructing before the start of the season.
Benefits
- Season typically runs June through August.
- Part-time up to 40 hours per week.
