Temp Seasonal - Aquatics Swim Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide swimming instruction at various skill levels following and adhering to the City of Spokane ASI program.
• Provide proper supervision.
• Communicate with parents or guardians of class participants.
• Assist with routine pool maintenance and custodial duties.
• Additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age at time of appointment.
• Possess a valid government issued ID and Social Security Card.
• Required to submit to background check.

Qualifications

• Desired skills include: Excellent communication skills, decision-making skills, thorough knowledge and application of teaching styles in coordination with ARC Standards, and an understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures.
• MUST receive a certification in Swim Instructing before the start of the season.

Benefits

• Season typically runs June through August.
• Part-time up to 40 hours per week.
