TEMP RN - Up to $65/hr

This is a temporary, full-time, 13-week nursing assignment at TrustPoint Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is a direct temporary opportunity (not an agency contract) and is not benefits-eligible. Travel stipends or reimbursements are not provided.

Pay

• $60 per hour for Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• $65 per hour for Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Schedule

• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (Day or Night)
• Rotating weekends

• Work in a state-of-the-art hospital providing rehabilitation, medical psychiatry, and inpatient/outpatient behavioral health services for adolescents, adults, and seniors

TrustPoint Hospital is located in Murfreesboro, TN, just 30 minutes from Nashville. Units include Adult Thought & Mood Disorders, Child, Adolescent, Geriatric, IDD, Physical Rehab & Medicine, ECT, and PHP.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs
• Develop and implement nursing care plans
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions
• Provide nursing care within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined by state regulations and facility policies
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately
• Assess patients’ status on an ongoing basis and document pertinent information
• Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status (e.g., detox difficulties, medical emergencies, medication responses)
• Complete initial nursing treatment plans upon admission and ensure they are specific to assessed needs
• Demonstrate knowledge and use of universal precautions in direct patient care
• Accurately administer medications and document controlled substance administration
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately
• Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients by respecting boundaries, personal space, and professionalism
• Provide direction or coordinate unit activities as directed
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved in treatment

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to practice in the state of employment
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience; behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance use experience preferred
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire)
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements
• At least one year of behavioral health experience
• Availability for 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
