About the role

The Project Manager provides consulting services to our financial services client account to help achieve strategic business objectives. This role leads office infrastructure construction projects in Johnson City, TN and supports other regional construction projects. Projects may include HVAC, chiller, UPS, generator, and other MEP upgrades, installations, and tenant fit-outs within occupied office facilities. This is a 6-12 month temporary/contract position serving as Owner’s Representative, responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion. The role offers a hybrid schedule in Johnson City, TN.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all areas of project management for commercial real estate projects, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Interface directly with clients to prepare project scope, delivery resource requirements, cost estimates, budgets, work plans, schedules, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through project qualification processes.
  • Conduct request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation accuracy, timeliness, and coordination.
  • Direct the project delivery team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
  • Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Track project progress and report status and variances.
  • Identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to complete challenging assignments.
  • Mentor others and share expertise while demonstrating a broad understanding of related job fields.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence).
  • Build consensus and convince others to reach agreements.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • Experience as Owner’s Representative on office construction projects.
  • Ability to drive project scheduling from concept to closeout.
  • Experience with design-build and MEP infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MS Project or similar project management software.
  • Knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices, and the ability to read architectural drawings.
