Job Summary

The Legal Specialist supports the organization’s legal and compliance function by providing regulatory analysis, risk assessment, associated system enhancements, and operational process design. This role focuses on translating legal and regulatory requirements into scalable operational frameworks, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring ongoing compliance across multi-jurisdictional business activities. The position operates at the intersection of legal analysis, business operations, and technology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze legal and regulatory obligations related to business operations and provide recommendations for action.
  • Identify compliance gaps, operational risk exposure, and opportunities for standardization across business activities.
  • Aid in integration of legal processes with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Assist in IT in developing and maintaining compliance frameworks for federal regulations.
  • Establish systematic compliance monitoring processes tied to operational activities.
  • Maintain and update standard legal forms.
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations and best practices related to relevant legal issues.
  • Build repeatable processes that reduce dependency on manual review for routine determinations.
  • Provide practical, risk-informed guidance to operations, finance, and business teams.
  • Translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
  • Develop reference tools enabling non-legal teams to make informed compliance-related decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws or Master of Laws or equivalent required.
  • 5 + years’ proven experience in legal or paralegal role.
  • Experience in legal research, regulatory analysis, and compliance support within a business environment.
  • Demonstrated involvement in legal operations, process design, or legal systems implementation.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems, internal databases, or compliance-related technology tools.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional issues preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring accurate and error-free work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various work sites as required.

Pay

$90,000 - $100,000 per year
