TEMP Conversion: Packager - BHN

About the role

The Packager is responsible for sorting, verifying, packaging, labeling, and weighing items into units according to pre-established pack sizes and customer requirements. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort inventory into different totes.
• Use technology such as scanners, computers, and handheld printers.
• Utilize pick sheets, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or facility WMS acquisition devices to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed from temperature-controlled or non-controlled rooms.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts.
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.
• Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) standards in the distribution center, such as wearing steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and safety vests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a varied, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds.
• Ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time.

Schedule

Wednesday–Saturday: 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM

Pay

$16.25 per hour + $2.00 shift differential.
