TEMP Conversion: Packager - BHD

About the role

The Packager's primary responsibility is sorting, verifying, packaging, labeling, and weighing items into units according to pre-established pack sizes and customer requirements. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort inventory into different totes.
• Use technology such as scanners, computers, and handheld printers.
• Utilize pick sheets, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or facility WMS acquisition devices to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed from temperature-controlled or non-controlled rooms.
• Lift up to 49 pounds.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.
• Follow all PPE standards in the distribution center (e.g., wearing steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, safety vests, or any other standards provided by site leadership).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a varied, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs.
• Ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time.

Schedule

Wednesday–Saturday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Pay

$16.25 per hour + $1.50 shift differential.
