Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and monitor project revenue, spending, commitments, and available cash.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, FASB, and internal controls while assisting in implementing new accounting policies and standards.
- Act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests and assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes, drive automation, and implement internal control initiatives.
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
- Support projects by assisting with financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and troubleshooting for assigned projects.
- Maintain and document processes, internal control policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (advanced degree preferred).
- Experience: 5-8 years of Accounting/Finance experience in SaaS, with prior management of accounting staff and public accounting preferred.
- Skills: Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in QuickBooks, Salesforce, and other accounting software.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and GAAP compliance.
- Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow standard procedures.
