About the role
The internship will provide hands-on research experience in human spaceflight with a focus on human health and performance during space missions. The primary goals of the internship are to expand the trainee’s experience conducting space-related scientific research and to enhance their understanding of the mental and behavioral health challenges associated with human spaceflight.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to/assist with literature reviews
- Assist with the development and implementation of research protocols
- Collect and analyze data
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and manuscripts
Requirements
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical engineering, psychology, neuroscience)
- Strong interest in human spaceflight and related fields
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis software
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience with scientific research methods
- Interest in human health and performance during space missions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
