Telugu Music Expert - Fully Remote | Upto $19/hr

About the role

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Headquartered in San Francisco, our investors include Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey. This is a remote, contract position lasting up to 6 months with a commitment of 20+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music across various genres.
• Rate music against quality standards in Telugu and English.
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs, identifying similarities and differences.
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality.
• Assess the naturalness of lyrics, including word choice, slang, and regional expressions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Telugu.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist.
• Knowledge of the Telugu music scene.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition.
• Credited or published songwriting work.
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Telugu genres, sub-genres, and artists.

Pay

$11–$19/hour

Schedule

20+ hours per week, flexible within a 6-month contract duration.
