About the Role
Accurately process routine financial transactions for banking customers with an emphasis on personalized quality customer service at all times. Maintain various reports, records, and files, and promote and cross-sell Bank products and services. As the first line of contact with customers, maintaining customer confidence and satisfaction through efficient, effective, accurate, and courteous processing of transactions is critical to the image presented by the Bank.
Responsibilities
- Process routine financial transactions for banking customers, including deposits, check cashing, journal transfers, money orders, official checks, sale and redemption of U.S. Savings Bonds, withdrawals, loan payments, loan disbursements, miscellaneous receipts and disbursements, cash advances, and providing access to safe deposit boxes.
- Ensure minimum to zero teller differences and controllable losses; escalate matters requiring further attention immediately.
- Prove all transactions in accordance with Bank-established procedures and policies.
- Adhere to all Bank policies and procedures, including privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Refer and promote various Bank products and services to customers as needs are uncovered.
- Assist with filing, money counting, teller cash proof, answering phones, processing mail transactions, reconciliation of ATM, coin machine operations, and completing daily audits of miscellaneous items.
- Travel within the branch network as needed to ensure adequate branch coverage.
- Daily use and maintenance of Cash Recycler, including proof as designated.
- Reconcile coin machine daily, change coin bags, and maintain cleanliness to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Bank Management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 1-2 years of retail experience in a cash handling capacity preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and listening communication skills.
- Basic personal computer skills and working knowledge of calculators.
- Strong basic math ability and ability to learn and retain information.
- High level of commitment to exceptional service and client relationship development.
- Ability to learn and promote the Bank’s products and services effectively.

- Complete all required enterprise-wide trainings to stay current on regulatory and industry trends.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Open office environment with potential stress factors such as noise from customers, employees, and office equipment.
- Daily use of wrists, hands, and fingers for computer, telephone, fax, copier, and other office equipment.
- Ability to hear and speak clearly for gathering information from customers and coworkers.
- Sitting for extended periods (up to 8 hours), with standing and walking up to 15% of work time.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel within the branch network.
Pay
$19.00 - $22.00 hourly
