About the Role
The Teller position provides accurate and efficient processing of members' financial transactions to ensure high levels of member satisfaction and maintain accurate record keeping of member accounts. This role contributes to sales goal attainment by identifying members’ product and service needs. It involves conducting various member account transactions, educating members on Credit Union products and services, performing balancing procedures, and supporting general branch office operations.
Responsibilities

- Identify and promote Credit Union products and services to meet member needs.
- Perform balancing and end-of-day procedures.
- Support general branch office operations and processing.
- Educate members on available products and services.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to receive information and hear sounds at normal speaking levels under normal branch conditions.
- Visual ability to prepare and analyze data, view a computer terminal, and perform extensive reading.
- Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended time periods.
- Ability to work extended evening and weekend hours and travel to other locations for coverage.
- Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Qualifications
Requirements to be considered for Teller I Level:
- 0-1 year of progressive retail financial or customer service experience.
Requirements to be considered for Teller III Level:
- Minimum of 3 years of retail banking or credit union experience, including cash handling, customer service, and understanding of financial services regulatory policies and compliance.
- Minimum of 2 years of financial experience identifying and promoting products and services to meet member/customer needs.
Education Level: General and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma.
Pay
The minimum salary for this position is $17.50+/hr. The actual salary may be higher based on experience, skills, education, and location.
