Teller - Main Branch

About the role

Tellers at Central Pacific Bank are the face of the company to both customers and non-customers. They process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and merchant transactions. Their primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service and help customers achieve their financial goals by recommending appropriate products and services.

Responsibilities

• Process routine financial transactions
• Count currency and coin accurately
• Maintain accurate records of each customer
• Answer customer questions with a can-do attitude
• Comply with all security procedures and bank regulations
• Maintain working knowledge of policies and procedures
• Safeguard assigned, branch, and customer cash according to Security Procedures
• Holds financial conversations to determine needs and refer appropriate solutions
• Identifies referral opportunities to maintain relationships and add value for all customers
• Participates in branch or bank-wide campaigns
• Maintains and submits customer referrals and reports as required

Requirements

• Teller I: 6 months or more of experience in cash handling and customer service
• Teller II: 1+ year(s) of experience in cash handling and customer service, 1+ year(s) of experience in a Financial Institution and/or Teller experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Must be able to perform light physical work, operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, communicate verbally and in writing, hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions, read and understand bank-related documents, and adapt to different work environments.
