Teller - Lihue Branch (Part-Time 30 hours/week)
About the role
Tellers at Central Pacific Bank are the face of the company to both customers and non-customers. Their primary responsibilities include processing routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments, and merchant transactions. They also provide a warm welcome to every customer who visits the branch.
Responsibilities
- Delivers personalized customer service and looks for ways to exceed customer expectations.
- Tackles a variety of financial transactions, including check cashing, cash deposits, loan payments, and counting currency and coin accurately.
- Maintains accurate records of each customer in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
- Answers customer questions with a can-do attitude, regardless of complexity or technicality.
- Complies with all security procedures and bank regulations applicable to the position.
- Maintains working knowledge of the bank’s policies and procedures relevant to the position.
- Safeguards assigned, branch, and customer cash according to security procedures.
- Refers customers to appropriate financial products and services based on their needs.
- Participates in branch or bank-wide campaigns to meet and exceed individual and team goals.
- Maintains and submits customer referrals and reports as required.
Requirements
- Teller I: 6 months or more of experience in cash handling and customer service.
- Teller II: 1+ year(s) of experience in cash handling and customer service, 1+ year(s) of experience in a Financial Institution, and/or Teller experience.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
