About the role

The Teller II position at TD involves working in a TD Store location to deliver exceptional customer experiences, process banking transactions accurately and efficiently, and educate customers on TD's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Execute TD’s Brand promise to customers by consistently delivering a Legendary Customer experience in the Store.
  • Perform customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments with accuracy.
  • Handle cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and night deposits.
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Engage in lobby leadership by managing customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and guiding them appropriately.
  • Understand customer preferences and educate them on self-service/digital options that meet their needs.
  • Train and mentor new Tellers, assisting supervisors with daily duties as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations, such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act, to minimize risk and protect customers.
  • Verify customers' identities by following authentication policies and procedures.
  • Balance cash drawers, ATMs, Teller Cash Dispensers (TCDs), and Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) as necessary.
  • Adhere to safe deposit box procedures and operations guidelines.
  • Ensure confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day.
  • Follow dual control procedures and adhere to all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss.
  • Use bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year teller or cash handling experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays as scheduled.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
