About the role

The Teller II position at TD focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and managing banking transactions efficiently. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Execute TD’s brand promise by consistently providing a Legendary Customer experience in the store.
  • Process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments accurately.
  • Handle cash transactions, verify currency, balance cash drawer, and manage night deposits.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures and escalate issues to management.
  • Engage in lobby leadership by managing customer flow, greeting customers, and guiding them appropriately.
  • Understand customer preferences and educate them on self-service/digital options.
  • Train and mentor new Tellers, assisting supervisors with daily duties.
  • Ensure compliance with bank regulations and follow dual control procedures.
  • Balance cash drawers, ATMs, Teller Cash Dispensers, and Teller Cash Recyclers as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to safe deposit box procedures.
  • Conduct needs-based conversations, offer financial and digital solutions, and refer customers to partners.
  • Follow security and audit measures to minimize potential loss and fraud.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year teller or cash handling experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays as scheduled.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
