About the role

This position requires working an alternating weekly schedule: Week One includes Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM, Wednesday from 8:45 AM to 2:15 PM, Thursday off, and Friday from 9:45 AM to 6:15 PM; Saturday from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, and Sunday off. Week Two includes Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM, Tuesday off, Wednesday from 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM, Thursday from 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM, Friday from 8:45 AM to 7:15 PM, and Saturday off, with Sunday off. The branch operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM, and Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy.
  • Presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services to members.
  • Represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
  • Provides friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and other related services to members resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily.
  • Cross-sells other member services.
  • Processes mail deposits and withdrawals.
  • May assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
  • May train to perform open/closing duties (with manager on site).
  • May train to verify checks for other tellers.
  • May train to perform overrides.
  • May be cross trained to help in other positions within the branch.
  • May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off-site location.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
  • Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
  • A thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position.
  • To comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time.
