Teller (Full Time) - Caldwell

About the role

This position involves performing various banking functions including deposit and withdrawal processing, loan payment processing, and cash handling. The role also includes selling bank products and services to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Processes deposits and withdrawals
• Posts to general ledger accounts
• Cashes negotiable items and verifies their negotiability
• Processes loan payments and savings bond transactions
• Sells traveler’s checks, official checks, and money orders
• Verifies and balances cash daily
• Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly
• Offers other bank products to meet customer needs
• Ensures client requests and inquiries are promptly resolved
• Maintains privacy of customer information
• Assists with training or orientation as needed
• Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly
• Attends meetings and training classes as required
• Performs night drop functions as assigned
• Performs related clerical duties as assigned
• Maintains a clean, secure, and well-maintained work area
• Cross-sells bank products and services

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience in cash handling
• Previous Teller experience preferred
• Good communication skills
• Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
• Good math and typing skills
• Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment

Qualifications

• Understanding of Bank operations preferred
• Knowledge of Bank products and services
• Experience with ATM balancing, WITS/Wires, and risk management
• Dual control experience
