Teller CSR

Location: Crown Hill, Clinton, IN (On‑Site) – Full‑Time, Hourly, Non‑Exempt.

About the Role

If you’re an energetic and detail‑oriented person who enjoys helping clients, growing accounts, and handling cash transactions accurately, the Teller/Customer Service Representative (Teller/CSR) role offers the opportunity to develop your banking career while supporting clients and gaining a strong foundation in retail banking.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships by getting to know clients, understanding their needs, and providing personalized service.
• Deliver exceptional service while accurately processing transactions with a positive, proactive approach.
• Process cash and check transactions with integrity and precision.
• Open and maintain accounts, assist with loan applications, and help clients navigate financial products such as Certificates of Deposit (CDs) and Money Market Accounts.
• Identify client needs and refer them to appropriate banking professionals.
• Educate clients on security measures, banking procedures, and product benefits.
• Handle client concerns professionally and find effective solutions.
• Identify and prevent fraud while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
• Collaborate as part of a respectful, supportive team that values accountability and innovation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a business setting.
• Minimum 1 year of cash‑handling experience.
• Teller experience preferred (6+ months).
• Strong customer service skills, including active listening and clear communication.
• Experience recommending and referring financial products.
• Solid understanding of compliance and fraud detection.
• Ability to accurately balance a cash drawer.
• Proficiency with computers, data entry, and multi‑line phone systems.
• Basic math and accounting skills.
• Ability to work occasional weekends and extended hours.
• Ability to remain in a stationary, standing position for up to 75 % of an eight‑hour workday.
• Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).
