About the role
West Michigan Credit Union is seeking an enthusiastic Teller to join our team in Big Rapids. Our Tellers provide members with professional and confidential service while handling transactions by phone, in person, or by mail.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of cash handling experience
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Balance your checks and cash drawer daily and report any discrepancies to your supervisor
- Greet and welcome members courteously, providing prompt, accurate, and efficient transactions
- Manage time efficiently and seek opportunities to develop or enhance knowledge
- Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude in complex situations
- Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals after verification of signatures and member balances
- Answer phones promptly and professionally
- Meet and exceed teller referral goals
- Follow safety and security procedures regarding robbery and emergency situations
- Maintain understanding of all policies and procedures, including BSA/AML and OFAC compliance
Schedule
Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
