Teller

About the role

The Teller position is responsible for accurately processing deposit account and loan transactions while adhering to all policies and procedures. The Teller supports the sales process by maintaining customer relationships, providing superior customer service, and referring bank products and services when beneficial and appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Effectively process customer transactions with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and knowledge.
• Support the sales process by identifying customer needs, promoting current promotional offers, and referring customers to Bankers and other lines of business (e.g., WIS and WMC) for further assistance with bank products and services.
• Maintain knowledge of WSB’s core processing system, products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail deposit accounts.
• Build and strengthen customer relationships by providing an unparalleled banking experience as set forth in WSB’s Mission.
• Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues, both by phone and in‑person.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, standards, and external factors that may affect the bank.
• Recommend reasonable changes to policies, procedures, and products.
• Operate in full compliance with internal policies/procedures and applicable regulations/laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience Required: 6 months of cash handling and/or customer service experience.
• Preferred: 2–4 years of cash handling and/or customer service experience.
• Education Required: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Additional Education and/or Experience: Co‑op participation; previous cash handling and/or retail experience.
• Working Conditions: Required to have your own cell phone.

Pay

Starting salary for the Teller position is $18.00 an hour and up, depending on experience.
