Schedule

37-hour weekly schedule:

• Monday: 8:45 am - 5:45 pm
• Tuesday: 8:45 am - 5:45 pm
• Wednesday: Off
• Thursday: 8:45 am - 5:45 pm
• Friday: 8:45 am - 5:45 pm or 9:15 am - 6:15 pm (rotating)
• Saturday: 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
• Sunday: Off

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
• Process member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, cash checks, transfers, loan payments, issue cashier’s checks, and other transactions
• Issue new ATM/VISA check cards for members and assist with PIN updates
• Assist with daily operational tasks such as opening and closing duties and working in dual control
• Inform, educate, and cross-sell current products and services to members; refer members to designated staff for assistance
• Achieve referral goals as directed by Branch Lead or Branch Manager
• Examine share draft/checks for proper endorsement and place appropriate holds
• Set up periodic payments and assist members with completion of payroll deduction and direct deposit
• Balance ATM and process night-drop deposit transactions
• Balance cash drawer at end of shift and compare total amount to the CORE; research and resolve discrepancies; report any discrepancies to management as necessary
• Assist in loading cash into TCRs and post replenishments
• Process stop payments, wire requests, affidavit of unauthorized use of VISA debit and credit cards, update member status, and make changes to name, address, and other pertinent information
• Open and close sub shares on accounts; process account closure requests and attempt to prevent account closure if possible
• Complete daily duties such as check scanning and closing out cash advance terminal; scan all necessary documentation
• Enroll members in online and mobile banking
• Identify and report fraudulent activity to management in accordance with current procedures to prevent potential loss to the credit union
• Maintain knowledge of all credit union products and services handled or promoted by FSSs
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all SCU’s policies and procedures, rules, and regulations for the FSS area, including robbery, Bank Secrecy Act, and Money Laundering policies and procedures
• Assist at other branches as needed
• Participate in community and business development events to increase brand awareness and drive new business
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all members and co-workers
• Adhere to SCU’s Dress Guidelines
• Maintain good attendance record
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and related work experience normally obtained in a member service and cash handling position
• Demonstrated ability to improve members’ financial well-being via timely and relevant cross-sells
• Ability to perform accurate math calculations and maintain records
• Ability to perform accurate cash transactions
• Ability to accurately use keyboard at speed required for successful job performance
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships
• Demonstrated member service skills
• Maintain good attendance record

Physical Demands

• Prolonged standing throughout the workday (a teller stool is provided)
• View computer screen for extended periods, up to 90% of the time
• Keyboarding majority of the day, up to 90% of the time
• Bend/stoop to lift cash drawer up to 30 pounds, up to 10% of the time

Pay

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
