Teller

Responsibilities

• Assist members in person and by phone
• Provide information about credit union products and services
• Conduct account research
• Perform necessary file maintenance
• Assist with payroll and account changes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adhere to security procedures and internal controls
• Help members achieve their financial objectives with guidance and advice
• Resolve potential problems for members
• Promote appropriate credit union products and services
• Complete all necessary file maintenance documents
• Order checks for members, as appropriate
• Deliver assistance in a safe and secure manner
• Handle member transactions professionally and pleasantly
• Receive deposits, loan payments, and transfers
• Transact cash or check withdrawals
• Provide cashiers checks, money orders, and other services within authority
• Maintain a balanced and secured cash drawer
• Have authority to permit availability of funds for checks up to a specified amount without further approval

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service and/or cash handling experience
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
• Bilingual candidates preferred
