Teller
About the role
As a Teller, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members at Indiana Members Credit Union, ensuring a positive and efficient banking experience. Your role is critical in processing a variety of financial transactions accurately and securely, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of cash handling procedures and adhering to regulatory compliance standards. Additionally, you will identify members’ needs and provide information about the credit union’s products and services, contributing to customer satisfaction and retention. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will help foster trust and build lasting relationships with members. The position is based in a retail branch and may require standing or sitting for extended periods, extended viewing of a computer monitor, handling equipment (touch, feel, lift, operate, control), reaching, and carrying/lifting up to 25 lbs. Travel is minimal to none.
Responsibilities
- Process various member transactions – deposits, withdrawals, loans and credit card cash advances, various types of loan & credit card payments, money orders, cashier checks, corporate checks, crossing selling other products, update members accounts, handle members problems & complaints, wire transfers, complete payroll deduction forms, direct deposits forms
- Access safe deposit boxes when applicable
- Handle and maintain security of large amounts of cash
- Communicate with all back-office departments for assistance and member requests
