Teller
About the Role
Join the team at Glacier Bank in Bigfork, Montana as a Teller. You will greet customers with a smile, assess and fill their needs in a professional manner, and maintain extensive contact with customers, vendors, the general public, and bank staff in a courteous and efficient way.
Responsibilities
- Process deposits, withdrawals, cash checks (customer & non-customer), buy & sell cash, change orders, cash advances, loan payments, cashier’s checks, GL credit/debit, advice of credit/debits, Canadian exchanges, and telephone transfers.
- Print statements and cash savings bonds.
- Properly fill out fraud & non-fraud debit card disputes and ATM disputes.
- Use Haberfeld brochure to select the right account type for customers.
- Operate and maintain branch capture machine, currency counter, coin counter, MICR printer (to print counter checks), teller cash dispenser, and teller cash recycler (if applicable).
- Use and find information in Silverlake, Vertex, NetTeller, and Passport systems.
- Locate and understand the use of all branch logs.
- Understand and comply with regulations: D, DD, E, CC, OFAC, Privacy, CIP, and BSA.
- Knowledge of personal and business account types, online banking, bill pay, and mobile check deposit.
- Follow proper process for safe deposit box access.
- Acknowledge customers promptly and maintain professional conversation in all interactions.
- Demonstrate proper cash handling skills, maintain a neat and organized cash drawer, and adhere to cash drawer limits.
- Maintain clean desk policy, customer confidentiality, and workstation security.
- Understand and apply dual control procedures when necessary.
- Properly handle dormant/escheat accounts and customer identification/verification.
- Read and respond to account and customer alert messages.
- Embrace service pledge and provide consistent, extraordinary service to all customers.
- Participate in required training, staff meetings, and lobby displays.
- Engage in community service and bank-sponsored activities supporting Glacier Bank’s mission and values.
- Provide superior internal and external customer service.
- Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frames.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
- Maintain a professional image, confidentiality, positive attitude, and flexibility in meeting bank and customer needs.
- Consistently maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform additional duties as requested or assigned.

Work Environment
Work is primarily performed indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise levels. Occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile, commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation may be required, including overnight lodging in public facilities.

- Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations.
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
- Close visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer terminals, extensive reading, and visual inspection of small defects or parts.
Pay
Pay range: $18.20 - $23.91 per hour, dependent on experience.
