About the Role
D.L. Evans Bank is a community bank providing premier banking services to residents of Southern Idaho and Northern Utah since 1904. We foster a working environment dedicated to teamwork and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
- Receive deposits and loan payments in person or by mail.
- Process cash advances, gift/travel cards, cashiers’ checks, government bonds, and similar transactions.
- Disburse cash for checks/withdrawals and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Process transfers and assigned cash transactions; balance at end of day.
- Verify transactions, monitor deposit amounts, examine documents for proper endorsement and negotiability, and detect/resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain security of assigned work area, including locking cash drawers when leaving.
- Place holds on uncollected funds in accordance with established policy.
- Ensure customers' requests and questions are promptly resolved.
- Operate online teller terminal and provide authorized account information to customers in person, by telephone, or by mail.
- Receive and forward account holders' change of address documentation to the appropriate department.
- Maintain privacy of customer account information.
- Direct calls to appropriate personnel/department and record/relay messages as needed.
- Assist other area personnel as required.
- Keep management informed of area activities and significant problems or concerns.
- Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
- Perform drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
- Cross-sell bank services by maintaining a general working knowledge of all bank products.
- Keep work area and equipment clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Complete special projects as assigned and attend meetings as required.
- Promote and maintain the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank in the community.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of bank operations policies and procedures preferred.
- Basic cash handling skills/experience preferred.
- Able to operate related computer applications and business equipment (e.g., adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin/money counting machines, telephone, scanner, branch capture machine).
