Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of Credit Union of Texas’s vision, core values, employee creed, and long-term objectives.
  • Deliver an unexpected experience by consistently providing outstanding service to internal and external members with every interaction.
  • Process share account and checking account deposits and withdrawals, loan/lease payments, and credit card payments.
  • Negotiate check cashing transactions, process negotiable instruments (cashier’s checks, money orders), and process credit card cash advances.
  • Identify member financial needs and recommend appropriate/progressive credit union product/service solutions.
  • Meet or exceed sales and service goals established by leadership.
  • Exercise due diligence by placing appropriate holds on checks deposited in accordance with Regulation CC and CUTX Funds Availability Policy.
  • Comply with robbery and hold-up procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum 6 months or more of similar or related experience.
  • Finger dexterity, grasping, talking, repetitive motions, average hearing, average visual abilities, sedentary work, sitting part of the time, and occasional exertion of up to 20 lbs.
  • Physical activities and requirements of this position include few hazardous or unpleasant conditions, such as working during construction wearing a hard hat.
  • Mental activities and requirements include reasoning ability, detailed ability, mathematical ability, language ability, and compliance with Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and USA PATRIOT Act.

Qualifications

  • Education and experience: High school diploma or equivalency, minimum 6 months or more of similar or related experience.

Skills

  • Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and deal with problems involving many variables.
  • Effective communication and writing skills, including reading and analyzing general business periodicals, professional journals, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate in complex sentences, using normal word order with present and past tenses and good vocabulary.
